Amanda is currently in her fifth year of study in the Architectural Engineering Program at Penn State University. She will graduate with an Integrated Bachelor/ Master of Architectural Engineering degree with a focus in mechanical systems. On campus, Amanda has been involved as a mentor for the Women in Engineering Program, a THON Chair for her sorority Phi Sigma Sigma, and a member of ASHRAE.

For the past two summers, Amanda has interned with EXP in Orlando, FL. At EXP, Amanda had the opportunity to split her time between the mechanical and electrical departments. She worked on many hospitality and healthcare projects. Amanda is very grateful for her exposure to such a wide range of projects and tasks. Previously, she interned in Washington, D.C. for Grunley Construction Company and was able to gain construction management experience. Also, she worked the summer before as a research assistant on campus testing low cost air quality sensors.

This year, Amanda was also on the Quakertown Energy Committee. As a member, she worked with representatives from ProtoGen Inc and faculty from Penn State to make recommendations for their utility sources. The main goal was to transition the town to renewables and combined heat and power systems. It was a volunteer position that really expanded her knowledge on a different aspect of building engineering. She is looking forward to completing her final year at Penn State and beginning her career in the MEP industry.
